RESEARCH BASED ESSAY : JAN - FEB


You may use the following web charts for the Jan-Feb essay. Class XI A and D to submit the essay on the deadline given by ma'am Sakshi. Classes XI B and C to submit their last essay on Feb 15, 2013:


Topic 1: The Partition cleaved more than just the two nations…Analyse the literary representations of this harrowing event which otherwise is usually glossed over in documented records. Study the Indian and Pakistani writers who have written on the Partition and analyse the pain and anguish which the two nations should never forget.

Topic 2: Compare and contrast the use of fantasy in a children’s fiction and a science fiction novel of your choice (You may refer to the movie versions as well). For e.g. The Chronicles of Narnia and The Time Machine/The Invisible Man.

Topic 3: Western art has generally been classified as portrait, landscape and still life. Choose any one of these realms and chart how they developed (thematically, technically and aesthetically) with time. (From the Renaissance in the 16th Century - the 21st century.)
